For the most part the names reflect the marking on the pups' chests. Exceptions: Red was born in the car on way to emergency vet when the country song about Old Red was playing on the radio. Brindle doesn't have any markings and is the only brindle. For Ms Sable I couldn't figure out what to call the marking on her chest. A note of sadness in that Brindle died on June 4th.
